Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, millions of Ukrainians have been forced to rebuild their lives abroad. In this situation, access to clear and reliable information became essential for navigating legal status, accessing services, enrolling children in school, finding employment, and staying connected with Ukrainian institutions.
Ukrainian Consultation Centres were established to respond to these needs by providing free consultations and practical guidance in Ukrainian. Today, the Centres support displaced Ukrainians through personalised consultations in person, online, and by phone on issues related to temporary protection, residence conditions, healthcare, education, employment, and social services. They also organise outreach visits, information sessions in remote locations, and online events to ensure that reliable information reaches as many people as possible.
The Ukrainian Consultation Centres in Germany (Berlin, Düsseldorf, and Munich) operate within the framework of the CORE-UA (Comprehensive Resilience Support for Displaced Persons from Ukraine) project and are funded by the German AMIF Programme 2021–2027 and the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF).
ICMPD also manages consultation centres in Prague (Czech Republic) and Gdansk (Poland), which operate under different projects and funding.
Together, these Centres form a coordinated support network that helps displaced Ukrainians access trusted information, understand their rights and opportunities, and navigate life in their host countries with greater confidence.
