On 26-27 March 2026, ICMPD held a Ukrainian Organisations Diaspora Networking Workshop in Munich, Germany. We are proud to have hosted more than 35 Ukrainian community leaders and civil society representatives at this year's Networking Workshop, two meaningful days of dialogue, collaboration, and shared purpose.
The workshop opened with remarks from the Consul General of Ukraine in Munich, Mr Yurii Nykytiuk, who welcomed the gathering and underscored the vital role of diaspora organisations in supporting Ukrainians in Germany. Mr Nykytiuk highlighted the strong cooperation between Ukrainian institutions, German authorities, and international partners, and emphasised the Ukrainian Consultation Centre's importance as a practical platform for bringing these actors together in Bavaria and beyond.
Bringing together organisations from Munich, Bavaria, and Baden-Württemberg, participants exchanged experiences, planned joint initiatives, and explored the evolving role of the Ukrainian diaspora in supporting displaced persons and contributing to Ukraine's recovery, led by an expert, Oleksandra Bienert.
