On 21 March 2026, the Ukrainian Consultation Centre in Düsseldorf held a strategic session for Ukrainian diaspora organisations in North Rhine-Westphalia as part of its ongoing work to strengthen cooperation and coordination within the community.
The session followed the networking event organised by the Centre in June 2025, as well as a series of regular online meetings and thematic working group discussions. Around 18 organisations took part in the full-day meeting.
The discussion focused on the future model of cooperation between Ukrainian diaspora organisations in NRW. Participants worked together on a shared concept, reviewed its main sections, and contributed ideas for its further development. The in-person format allowed for more in-depth discussion and helped organisations align their views on the next steps.
The session marked another important step towards building a more structured and coordinated network of Ukrainian diaspora organisations in the region. Participants confirmed their willingness to continue the process through further coordination meetings and thematic sessions, with continued support from the Ukrainian Consultation Centre.
