As part of its support to the State Migration Service of Ukraine in establishing the Situational Centre for Migration Monitoring and Risk Analysis, the CORE-UA project supported the organisation of the Risk Assessment and Risk Profiling Training to provide specialists from Ukrainian institutions with a valuable capacity-building programme.

Held on 9–10 December 2025 in hybrid format (in Kyiv and online), the training brought together specialists from the State Migration Service and its territorial divisions, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Border Guard Service, and the National Police of Ukraine, which are involved in collecting, analysing, and using migration-related data for informed decision-making.

The programme focused on migration risk analysis and forecasting, helping participants enhance their ability to identify, assess, measure, and manage threats, vulnerabilities and impacts affecting the state’s migration security.

Combining theory with practical exercises, participants worked with modern methodologies, tools, and approaches aligned with the CIRAM (Common Integrated Risk Analysis Model) and adapted to the Ukrainian context. The engagement of the international expert provided knowledge of EU and international best practices and case studies.

The training received positive feedback from participants and forms part of ICMPD’s continued support to Ukrainian partners.
