On 19 May 2025, ICMPD Director General Michael Spindelegger met with the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to International Organisations in Vienna, H.E. Mr. Yurii Vitrenko.
Ambassador Vitrenko expressed appreciation for ICMPD continuous support to Ukraine both within Ukraine in the sphere of migration and integrated border management, and in EU Member States with high numbers of externally displaced Ukrainian citizens, such as in Czechia, Germany, and Poland, where ICMPD operates Ukrainian Consultation Centres and a call centre, where ICMPD will support the Ministry of National Unity of Ukraine in establishing Unity Hubs.
