On 15 November 2025, the Ukrainian Consultation Centre in Düsseldorf hosted the information meeting “Ask the Consul” in cooperation with the Consulate General of Ukraine in Düsseldorf.
The event featured Mr Oleh Yevdokimov, Acting Consul General of Ukraine in Düsseldorf, and provided an open space for Ukrainians living in Germany to receive practical information about consular services and ask questions directly. The format encouraged direct exchange and made it easier for participants to discuss their concerns and receive clear, practical answers.
The meeting began with a short presentation of the Ukrainian Consultation Centre and an overview of the Consulate’s work and services. The participants received information on the electronic appointment system, document preparation, notarisation procedures, apostilles, passport-related issues, and access to consular services for men aged 18 to 60.
The question-and-answer session focused on practical concerns, including appointment booking, choosing the correct consular service, Diia registration, Reserve+, expired passports, and passport renewal in more complex cases. Participants also learned that the Centre can support them in preparing documents for consular appointments.
The event received positive feedback and confirmed the strong need for this format. Beyond sharing information, the meeting helped strengthen trust, improve understanding of consular procedures, and remind participants that support is available when needed.
The Ukrainian Consultation Centre plans to continue organising similar meetings for Ukrainians in Düsseldorf and the region.
